So it’s week 3 and it was related to Scholarships, cover letters, and some nice opportunities.

Many of us apply to different scholarships but most of the time we didn't get it. While applying to any of the scholarship programs its important for you to stand out from the crowd keep your essays precise and be apt to talk about your achievements, along with your background, experiences justify all those things which make you the perfect candidate to get the particular scholarship.

Here is the perfect structure for an essay🙌

Some tips: Don’t wait until the last minute to write your scholarship essay, the quality will likely suffer!!

Discuss a moment or experience that caused significant personal growth. Discuss a time when you had to overcome an obstacle.

Do’s and Dont’s 😎

Here are some websites mentioned by my mentor to apply for different scholarships

You can use the “#scholarship” tag on Linkedin, medium, Dare2compete where you can find different scholarships opportunities.

Importance of Cover Letter :

Talking about cover letters, a cover letter is an important way to showcase how your unique combination of skills and experience meets the key requirements of the job description. It is that chance to showcase a clear connection between your knowledge, experience, and abilities and the needs of the employer.

Key elements while writing a cover letter :

  1. Information about you (Short Introduction )- Begin your cover letter with your contact information. Including a specific name can get your letter and resume to the hiring manager more quickly and can be an effective personal touch like name, number, etc
  2. Date
  3. Employers name and Address
  4. Salutation for example Dear Prospective Employer (if there is no contact name) and if you know the name then you can add appropriate names.
  5. Summary of your background and your skills
  6. Thank the person to whom you are writing for his/her time and consideration of your application along with your number.
